DeedOn 21 April 1856, Thomas H. Moore is guardian of minor children of Jackson Hays, deceased and the attorney for Nancy Hays and Almond Hays. Thomas H. Moore sells 19 1/2 acres to highest bidder Charles Rice for $40. - Franklin County Deed Book CD, page 80. FSL #8153362, image 413.

Court RecordOn 28 October 1862, Nancy Hays, a widow, was sworn in and stated she was the mother of Alexander Hays, a private in Company D., 7th Regiment of Georgia Volunteers and that he enlisted about 30th May 1861 and was killed at the Battle of Mannases on 30 August 1862. She states he was born on 9 May 1842 and was not married. - NARA 586957, Group 109. 
DeedOn 28 December 1869, Nancy Hays, Angeline Hays, Almond Hays and Ansley Hays sell 40 acres in Dawson County (formerly Cherokee County) to Jeptha & Nancy Pinyan for $35. - Dawson County Deed Book B, 1867-1874, page 324. FSL #8563829, image 574.
