All children born in Georgia. 
Census 1860He appeared on the 1860 census of Nancy Green Hays on 16 July 1860 in Powder Springs, Cobb, Georgia; Nancy Hays 46, Almond 27, Alvin 25, Ansley 24, A. E. 22, Amalisa 21, Amaziah 19, Alexander 18 and Amanda 18.3 
Military*Enlisted as Private, Company D, 7th Georgia Regiment, Anderson's Brigade, Confederacy, on 4 May 1861. He was wounded at 2nd Manassess, Virginia on 30 August 1862.4

Marriage*Ansley HAYS married Marsena S. HANSARD on 25 December 1877 in Milton, Fulton, Georgia. Marriage license show spelling as Marcena Hansard.2,5
