Census 1860She appeared on the 1860 census of Nancy Green Hays on 16 July 1860 in Powder Springs, Cobb, Georgia; Nancy Hays 46, Almond 27, Alvin 25, Ansley 24, A. E. 22, Amalisa 21, Amaziah 19, Alexander 18 and Amanda 18.2 
DeedOn 14 February 1876, Ansley Hays sells 250 acres in Cobb County to Almond Hays, Angeline Hays, Amalissa Hays and Amanda Hays for $20. - Deed was recorded 18 May 1889 in Early County, Georgia Deed Book P, page 283. FSL #8564268, image 183.

Death*Amalissa "Malissa" HAYS died on 25 August 1913 at age 74.4 
Burial*She was buried in Powder Springs Methodist Cemetery, Cobb, Georgia. "AMMALISSA HENDRIX - BORN - FEB. 15, 1839 - DIED - AUG. 25, 1913 - HENDRIX."4
