Federal Census records show Robert D. Higdon as follows; 1850 census born in South Carolina about 1814, 1860 census born in Georgia about 1810, 1870 census born in Georgia about 1814 and the 1880 census born in North Carolina about 1815. Using the information in Daniel Hidgon's revolutionary war pension application (Robert Daniel Higdons father), it appears to me that Robert Daniel was born in North Carolina.3 |
