| Obituary* | MR. GEORGE HAIRSTON - Mr. George Hairston died at the Infirmary Tuesday morning from the effects of Bright's disease with which he had been a great sufferer for some time. He was brought to Columbus only a few days ago in hopes that the change would be beneficial, but not so, and death relieved him of his sufferings as stated above, Mr. Hairston was a member of one of the oldest and most substantial families in the county. He was an upright and honorable citizen and was held in high esteem by all who knew him, and his death came as a great shock to his family and friends. His remains were carried to his home in Crawford, and his body was laid to rest in the family burying ground Wednesday. - The Commercial Dispatch, Thursday, Ocotber 5, 1905, page 1. |
