Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gunter and Holmes Funeral Home. A native of Crawford, he was the son of the late George W. and Virginia Ervin Hairston Sr. He was a former Mayor of Crawford and a member of the Crawford Presbyterian Church. He leaves two sons, George W. Hairston III of Columbus and Robert Ervin Hairston of Miami, Fla; one brother, Brown Hairston, Cocoa Beach, Fla. and one sister, Mrs. B. W.
