Marriage*Ruth HAIRSTON married Col. Joab EARLY, son of Jubal EARLY and Mary Booker CHEATHAM, on 9 March 1812 in Franklin, Virginia. Daughter of Samuel Hairston and surety was William Cook. - FHL Film 31523.1,2 
Death*Ruth HAIRSTON died in 1832; "leaving ten children."3 
Burial*She was buried in Spring Hill Cemtery, Lynchburg, Virginia. 
WillIn Col. Samuel HAIRSTON's will dated 4 November 1834, Ruth HAIRSTON was named as an heir; Samuel Hairston left a will dated 7 November 1834 and a codicil dated 8 November 1834. Samuel Hairston also left a second codicil dated 4 November 1834, but I believe the court clerk wrote November instead of December.
