I also give and bequeath to my said granddaughter Agness Stone and my granddaughters Polly Stone and Ruth Stone, all my other beds and & furniture and house hold goods to be equally divided between them; - My will and desire is that my four favorite Negroes to wit Bob, Esther, Charles, & Hannah shall at my death be free and further I give and bequeath to them, one good Horse, two cows & calves, two sows & pigs eight head of killing hogs, twenty barrels of corn and my black smiths tools; and further my will and desire is that, my Executors shall pay particular attention to the aforesaid free Negroes, so that they shall be under no incumbrance whatever. - And whereas there is long and old existing accounts between my son a Nicholas and myself and my brother Harden and myself, which is now out of date and our recollection, and whereas I hold my son Nicholas's bond for considerable money and my brother Harden holds my bond, which last bond I wish discharged out of the first and not otherwise, and after all my just debts is paid as aforesaid, I wish all the rest residue and remainder of my estate of what kind or nature whatsoever to be sold for the best price that can be had, Be it remembered that Peter Hairston of Stokes County No. Carolina, has a power authorizing him to sell the Snow Creek Iron Works & lands appertaining thereto and transmit me the money, which proceeds if sold, or when hereafter sold I give and bequeath one third part thereof to Nicholas Scales. Should there be any surplus after paying all just claims, I wish my Executors to divide between Hendley Stones children had by my daughter Betsey, equally. I hereby constitute and appoint my son Nicholas Perkins & my nephew Nicholas Scales, my Executors, of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other Wills by me made, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of January in the year of Our Lord 1813. Peter Perkins seal Signed sealed and acknowledged in the presence of us, who were called upon a be witnesses: Anne P Scales, Thos. H. P Scales, M. Bostick State of Tennessee Williamson County. The foregoing Last Will and Testament of Peter Perkins deceased was presented in Court April Session 1813 and proven by the oaths of Thos. H. P. Scales and Bostick the subscribing witnesses there unto to be act and deed of Peter Perkins and the same was ordered to be recorded. N.P.
