On the list of marriages performed by Joel Crumpacker, the marriage of Henry Baker to Elizabeth Coffman was on 23 February 1826. Census 1850*Henry Baker appeared on the census of 25 September 1850 in Botetourt, Virginia. Henry Baker 51, wife Elizabeth 47 and 3 children (Oscar O. 16, Sarah A. 14 and Nash N. 7) are living with James and Mary Brownell. Henry is farming his own land.2 
Deed*On 12 May 1858, Henry Baker, of Botetourt, Virginia, gives his son Charles C. Baker, of Memphis, Tennessee, a slave named Fanny. - Virginia Deed Book 34, page 122. FSL #008572335, image 83.
