Columbus, Aug. 14 -- The remains of Robert T. Hairston reached Columbus Monday night over the Southern Railway from Asheville, Tenn., where his death occurred at 6 o'clock Monday morning.

Funeral services were held at Friendship cemetery at 10 o'clock this morning with the following as pall bearers: J. W. Carr, John Frierson, Pete Cox, J. T. W. Hairston, Sam potts, R. R. Banks.

Mr. Hairston was a native of this county and lived here many years. For the past 10 years he has been engaged in the cotton business in South Carolina and Georgia.

Three brother and a sister survive, they being Hugh S. and William Hirston of Columbus, Mrs. C. D. S. Bragg, of Crawford, and George hairston, of the delta.
