WillIn Wortley Virginia MOSELEY's will dated 20 March 1896 in "written signed & published at the family residence Magowah", Lowndes, Mississippi, Peter Stuart HAIRSTON was named as an heir; Lowndes County Will Book 2, page 372-378. FSL 5835940-222.7
Census 1900*He appeared on the census of January 1898 in Northern Supervisors District, Eagle, Alaska, listed as bookkeeper and arrived in Alaska in January 1898, from Crawford Miss, 38 years old, born Feb. 1862, single, a traveling salesman, can read and write. Only 383 people lived in Eagle, Alaska in 1900.5

Marriage*He married Cora Carlota LAWRENCE on 2 March 1907 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.8
Travel*On 26 January 1908, Peter Stuart Hairston and his wife Cora C. Hairston, returned to New York from Liverpool, England aboard the S. S. Campania.

Census*Peter S. Hairston appeared on the 1911 Census of Canada along with his wife Carlota. He was born January 1862, 49, and she was born January 1882, 29. They are both are from the U.S.A. and entered Canada in 1905. They are living with his niece Wortley S Turner 15, mother-in-law Mary A Lawrence 54, sister-in-law Mary A Provenchere 23, and a niece Carlotta Provenchere 3 months old.
Death*Peter Stuart HAIRSTON died on 16 February 1916 in The American Club, Toronto, Canada, at age 54. He died on the 3rd floor of The American Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada when an fire was started. See the attached clipping from The Daily Gate City Newspaper from Keokuk, Iowa, February 16, 1916.
