Obituary*Jefferson M. Hairston's obituary appeared in the Wednesday, January 3, 1912 edition of the Atlanta Journal, page 14. He was survived by his wife, children Walter Hairston, Harold Hairston, William Hairston, James Hairston, Lollie Belle Hairston, Nellie Hairston, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. R. R. Otwell. 
Burial*He was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Fulton, Georgia.10
