Charged with Witchcraft to be Burned at the Stake

In an article written for The Scottish Historical Review, Lizanne Henderson writes about a Janet Harestanes that was charged with witchcraft in Dumfries, Scotland in 1699. Fortunately the church was lenient and did not punish her with death.
The title of the article is, "The Survival of Witchcraft Prosecutions and Witch Belief in South-West Scotland by Lizanne Henderson", a lecturer in history at the Crichton Campus of the University of Glasgow.
