Marriage*He married Jane Gardner on 15 March 1842 in Muscogee, Georgia. FSL #005190996, image 198/692. 
Census 1850*Philip Higdon appeared on the census of 15 November 1850 in Muscogee, Georgia; Philip Higdon 31, Clarry Ann 27, Tarpley 8, Bethina 4, Carolin 2, Mary Higdon 70 (born in North Carolina c1780.)1
Court Record*On 2 June 1851 in Muscogee County Court, Phillip Hidgon and Henry Johnson state they were at the funeral of Daniel Higdon and saw his body and that he died on 1 June 1846. That Daniel Higdon was reputed to be a Soldier of the Revolution. Ther was no mention that either Philip Higdon or Henry Johnson were related to Daniel Higdon.2

Census 1860*He was Head of Household on 10 August 1860 in Russell, Alabama.3
