| Will | In William Giles's will dated 11 July 1692 in Henrico, Virginia, Mary Giles was named as an heir; I William Giles of the Parish of Varina in the County of Henrico planter being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory praised be almighty God, and calling to remembrance my frail and mortal life do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First. I render my soul to all mighty God that gave it and my body to be interred in such place and decent manner as my hereafter named Executrix shall think fit. Item. I make my dear wife my whole and sole Executrix and do give all I have in the world to my dear wife Bethany Giles. Item. I give to my son William twelve pence. I give to my son John and my daughter Mary and my son Nicholas twelve pence apiece. Item. I give my son William to my wife while he come to sixteen years of age and my son John and my son Nicholas while they come to seventeen years of age to be first it my son William to serve my dear wife the seventeen years of age, if my wife marry not, but if she marry to be free at sixteen years of age. Item. My son William to serve my dear wife the seventeenth year of his age for a valuable consideration as followeth a broad cloth coat a pair of worsted stockings a pair of French fall shoes and two young sows with pigs to be delivered when he first into service, but if my wife marrys he is free at sixteen. Item. My Executrix pay all my debts and bury me decent out of what God hath left me. In witness whereof I have hereunto set hand and declare this to be my last will and Testimony in presences of The Eleventh of July Anno 1692 Wm. Giles Eliz. E. Peggin (her mark), Tho. E.
