| Obituary* | OBITUARY. -- POWELL - Died, at Rolling Fork, Sharkey county, November 19th, 1877; WILLIE, son of Judge and Ella Wright Powell, aged two years and six months. Another bud from the parent-tree has fallen to the earth, but blooms again in immortality. May the fragrance of affection, wafted eartward from these human flowers, draw the hearts of the bereaved parents thither, and then only can they realize these disguized blessings. Little WILLIE, the cherished idol of his mother's bosom, has followed in the footsteps of his brother very soon, but an all-wise Parent ordained it thus, and can also heal the bleeding hearts left on earth, and teach them to feel --- "If Thou shouldst call me to resign What most I prize - it ne'er was mine -- I only yield thee what was Thine -- Thy will be done." |
