Death Spouse*Her husband, Lewis Hairston, died on 1 November 1888. 
Military*Sarah Ann Chandler Hairston Creed, remarried widow of Lewis Hairston, filed a pension claim regarding Lewis Hairston fighting the Florida Indain Wars with Anderson's Company of Georgia Volunteers. The General Affidavit filed by Sarah A. Hairston on 8 April 1895 in Nevada County, Arkansas, states that Malinda Hairston, the first wife of Lewis Hairston, died on 1 February 1855. 
Death*Sarah Ann CHANDLER died on 16 November 1904 in Arkansas at age 78.3
