The following is not the final product, it is a rough outline from various sources.  It is "work in progress", it is all open to discussion and there are definitely errors.  It is only about 5% of the names in the database, but I hope it is of interest to you.

1. Peter¹ Hairston was born in Dumfriesshire, Scotland about 1695. Peter died 1780 in Bedford County, VA, at about 85.

He is said to have married an Irish Lady Of Rank. 

Peter Hairston and his wife had the following children:

 + 2 i. Robert² Hairston was born about 1719 and died in 1791.

 3 ii. Samuel Hairston was born about 1719 and died in 1782.

 + 4 iii. Andrew Hairston was born about 1723 and died 1782.

 5 iv. Peter Hairston was born about 1727 and died 1779. 

Second Generation

2. Robert² Hairston (Peter¹) was born in Ireland about 1719. Robert died 179. His body was interred in Franklin Co., VA.

He married Ruth Stovall in 1745. Ruth was born 1730 and died March 3, 1808 in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA, at age 77. Her body was interred March 5, 1808 in Franklin County, next to Robert.

Robert Hairston and Ruth Stovall had the following children:

 + 6 i. Agnes³ Hairston.

 7 ii. Ann Hairston was born in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania County, VA.  She married Charles Woods. 

 8 iii. Ruth Hairston. 

 + 9 iv. George Hairston was born September 20, 1750.

 + 10 v. Peter Hairston was born February 24, 1752/1753.

 11 vi. Martha Hairston was born 1753. Martha died 1834 at age 81. She married Alexander Hunter. 

 + 12 vii. Samuel Hairston was born 1755.

 13 viii. Elizabeth Hairston was born 1759. Elizabeth died 1819 at age 60. She married Michael Rowland. 

 14 ix. Sarah Hairston was born in Pittsylvania County, VA 1788.  She married Baldwin Rowland. 

4. Andrew² Hairston (Peter¹) was born about 1723. Andrew died June 1782 in GA., at age 58.

He married twice. He married Agnes Elizabeth. 

Andrew Hairston and Agnes Elizabeth had the following children:

 15 i. Priscilla³ Hairston. 

 16 ii. Margaret Hairston.

 17 iii. Susanna Hairston. 

 18 iv. Ellenor Hairston. 

 19 v. Elizabeth Hairston. 

 20 vi. Teny Hairston. 

 21 vii. Kitteran Hairston. 

 + 22 viii. William Hairston was born circa 1730.

 23 ix. Thomas Hairston was born in PA circa 1740. Thomas died circa 1782 in Abbeville, SC.

 + 24 x. Peter Hairston was born 1745.

 25 xi. Hugh Hairston was born 1747. Hugh died 1778 in Bedford County, VA, at age 31.

Third Generation

6. Agnes³ Hairston (Robert², Peter¹) was born in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania Cty, VA. 

She married John Woods. 

Agnes Hairston and John Woods had the following child:

 26 i. Elizabeth⁴ Woods. Elizabeth. She married Robert Hairston  Robert was the son of Samuel Hairston and Judith Saunders. 

9. George³ Hairston (Robert², Peter¹) was born in Bedford County, VA September 20, 1750. George died March 5, 1827 in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA, at age 76. His body was interred in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA.

He married Elizabeth Perkins Letcher January 1781. Elizabeth was born May 13, 1759 in Halifax Co., VA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Nicholas Perkins and Bethenia Harden. Elizabeth died January 26, 1818 at age 58.

George Hairston and Elizabeth Perkins Letcher had the following children:

 27 i. Robert⁴ Hairston was born in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA April 1, 1783. Robert died March 7, 1852 at age 68. His body was interred in Hairston Cemetery, Lowndes County, Mississippi. He married Ruth Stovall Hairston. Ruth was born July 13, 1783 in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania County, VA. Ruth was the daughter of Peter Hairston and Alcey Perkins. Ruth died August 22, 1869 at age 86. Her body was interred date unknown in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania County, VA.

 28 ii. George Hairston, Jr. was born November 27, 1784. George died October 13, 1863 in Marrowbone, Henry County, VA, at age 78. He married Louisa Hardyman February 21, 1811 in Charles City County, VA. Louisa was born December 25, 1787. Louisa died October 23, 1847 at age 59. Her body was interred at Hordesville.

 29 iii. Harden Hairston was born in Henry County, VA October 23, 1786. Harden died October 23, 1862 in Lowndes Co., Mississippi, at age 76. His body was interred in Hairston Cemetery, Lowndes Co, Mississippi. He married Sally Stovall Staples June 2, 1808. Sally was born October 1, 1791 in Henry County, VA. Sally was the daughter of John Staples and Martha Stovall. Sally died May 4, 1845 in Lowndes Co., Mississippi, at age 53. Her body was interred in Hairston Cemetery, Lowndes Co, Mississippi.

 30 iv. Samuel Hairston was born November 11, 1788. Samuel died 1875 at age 86. He married Agnes John Peter Wilson date unknown. Agnes was born 1801. Agnes was the daughter of Peter Wilson and Ruth Stovall Hairston. Agnes died 1880 at age 79.

 31 v. Nicholas Perkins Hairston was born October 18, 1791. Nicholas died 1824 in Tallahatchee, Mississippi, at age 32.

 32 vi. Henry Hairston was born July 23, 1793. Henry died 1825 in Tallahatchee, Mississippi, at age 31. He married Mary Ewell .

 33 vii. Peter Hairston was born 1796. Peter died 1810 at age 14.

 34 viii. Constantine Hairston was born December 17, 1797. Constantine died 1819 at age 21. His body was interred at Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA.

 35 ix. John Adams Hairston was born March 15, 1799. John died 1849 at age 50. He married Malinda Corn 1835 in Yalobusha Co., Mississippi. Malinda was born 1817. Malinda died 1882 at age 65.

 36 x. America Hairston was born February 21, 1801. America died January 14, 1871 at age 69. Her body was interred at Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA. She married John Calloway March 16, 1826. John was born August 1, 1781. John died January 8, 1865 at age 83. His body was interred in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA.

 37 xi. Marshall Hairston was born July 4, 1802. Marshall died 1882 in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA, at age 79. His body was interred in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA. He married Ann M. Hairston. Ann was born December 1, 1802. Ann died July 16, 1888 at age 85. Her body was interred in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA.

 38 xii. Ruth Stovall Hairston was born September 6, 1804. Ruth died September 20, 1838 at age 34. She married Peter Hairston. Peter was the son of Samuel Hairston and Judith Saunders.

10. Peter³ Hairston (Robert², Peter¹) was born February 24, 1752/1753. Peter died December 1, 1832 in Saura Town, NC, at age 80.

He married Alcey Perkins 1783. Alcey was born 1766. Alcey died 1814 at age 48.

Peter Hairston and Alcey Perkins had the following child:

 39 i. Ruth Stovall⁴ Hairston was born in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania Cty, VA July 13, 1783. Ruth died August 22, 1869 at age 86. Her body was interred in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania Cty, VA. She married three times. She married Peter Wilson date unknown. Peter was born January 25, 1770. Peter died December 21, 1813 at age 43. His body was interred date unknown in Berry Hill, Pittsylvania Cty, VA. She married Robert Hairston date unknown. Robert was born April 1, 1783 in Beaver Creek, Henry County, VA. Robert was the son of George Hairston and Elizabeth Perkins Letcher. Robert died March 7, 1852 at age 68. His body was interred date unknown in Hairston Cemetery, Lowndes Co, Mississippi. 

12. Samuel³ Hairston (Robert², Peter¹) was born 1755.

He married Judith Saunders. Judith was born 1791. 

Samuel Hairston and Judith Saunders had the following children:

 40 i. Robert⁴ Hairston.  He married Elizabeth Woods  Elizabeth was the daughter of John Woods and Agnes Hairston. 

 41 ii. Peter Hairston. He married Ruth Stovall Hairston. Ruth was born September 6, 1804. Ruth was the daughter of George Hairston and Elizabeth Perkins Letcher. Ruth died September 20, 1838 at age 34.

 42 iii. George Hairston. 

 43 iv. Ruth Hairston.  She married Colonel Joab Early . Joabl was born in Franklin Co., VA. 

 44 v. Mary Hairston. 

 45 vi. Ann Hairston. 

 46 vii. Letitia Hairston. 

 47 viii. Samuel Saunders Hairston was born in Franklin Co., VA August 12, 1804. Samuel died July 8, 1850 in Lowndes Co., Mississippi, at age 45. His body was interred date unknown in Hairston Cemetery, Lowndes Co, Mississippi. He married Elizabeth Perkins Hairston December 21, 1828. Elizabeth was born April 4, 1809 in Patrick County, VA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Harden Hairston and Sally Stovall Staples. Elizabeth died May 8, 1859 in Lowndes Co., Mississippi, at age 50. Her body was interred in Hairston Cemetery, Lowndes Co, Mississippi.

22. William³ Hairston (Andrew², Peter¹) was born in PA circa 1730. William died April 1808 in Abbeville, SC, at age 77.

He married Ann S. 

William Hairston and Ann S. had the following children:

 48 i. Peter⁴ Hairston.  He married Martha Baker 

 49 ii. Jane Hairston was born in Abbeville, SC. 

 50 iii. Agnes Hairston. 

 51 iv. John Hairston. 

 52 v. James Robert Hairston was born in Abbeville, SC March 1766. James died  in Abbeville, SC.

 53 vi. William Hairston was born circa 1801. William died circa 1860 

 54 vii. Thomas Oscar Hairston was born in Abbeville, SC circa 1804. Thomas died date unknown in Franklin County, Arkansas, at age unknown. His body was interred in Prairie Cem, NE Charleston, Franklin, Ark. He married twice. He married Matilda Elizabeth Moore circa 1830. Matilda was born December 4, 1811. Matilda died March 2, 1904 at age 92. He married Q. E. Raper February 23, 1882. Q. was born circa 1835. 

24. Peter³ Hairston (Andrew², Peter¹) was born 1745. Peter died September 20, 1844 in Laurens County, SC, at age 99. His body was interred in Laurens County, SC.

He married Sarah

Peter Hairston and Sarah had the following children:

 55 i. John Speak⁴ Hairston. 

 56 ii. Elizabeth Calmes Hairston. 

 57 iii. Sarah Frances Hairston.
