Early records show that Peter Hairston and his family lived in Donegal, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania about 1730 and that they received a "Blunston License"  in 1737.  There are many family stories or rumors about Peter arriving after the "Battle of Culloden", however, the battle was in 1746 and Peter had been in Donegal before 1730 and recieved a Blunston License in 1737.
